Arthur Clyde Rigsbee, Jr.

Savannah- Arthur Clyde Rigsbee, Jr., 92, died early Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Memorial University Medical Center.
Born September 24, 1920 in Durham, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Arthur C. Rigsbee, Sr. and Ola Beeker Rigsbee. He received his education in the Durham County schools and the University of North Carolina. Mr. Rigsbee proudly served in the United States Air Force as a pilot during World War II. For a number of years, he worked for the late Phillip Hutchings, Sr. CPA Firm and Muirhead Construction Company as a Controller until his retirement. In addition to his parents, Mr. Rigsbee was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Carl Rowland.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys L. Rigsbee; daughter, Lunda R. Rowland, and granddaughter, Lindsay Rowland.
The family will have a private graveside service at Maplewood Cemetery in Durham, North Carolina.
